The Wellington branch banks with Kiwibank. The bank has announced that by 28 February 2020, it will be the last day that cheques will be accepted at this bank. After this date, Kiwibank will not accepted cheques from any bank. We are aware that this will be an inconvenice for a number of our members who pay for the functions they wish to attend by cheque. There are different methods to pay for our functions in the future. Members can get help from Kiwiwbank. Also if you bank with other banks, please talk to your banks. Wellington Branch Committee
The Wellington Branch AGM was held on 29 May 2019 at the Petone Working Men's Club in Petone. A total 49 members attended and the following were elected for the coming year:
Chairman: Ian Clunies-Ross
Deputy Chairman: Peter Chambers
Committee members: Kevin Duggan, Graham Hill, Kay Monks, Alan Peck, Elizabeth Smaal, Mike Smith, Bryan Whisker, and Ray Woolhouse
The branch committee meets every second month and has active sub committees that meet as required.
2020 Annual General Meeting
The Wellington Branch AGM will be held on Wednesday 3rd June 2020 at the Petone Working Men's Club. This will be followed by a luncheon. The cost for GSA members will be $10 per person. The invitation is for GSA members only. Booking required. More information will be in the April 2020 Newsletter or contact Branch Secretary.

Annual General Meeting
The Wellington Branch AGM was held on Wednesday 29 May at the Petone Working Men's Club. This was followed by a luncheon. A total of 49 members attended.
Mid- Winter Lunch
The midwinter gathering was held on Wednesday 24 July at the Pines, 50 Esplanade, Hougton Bay, Wellington. Sixty memberes attended the luncheon. This year, the Hon. Tracy Martin was a guest speaker and spoke about new Senior Policy.
Wairarapa Lunch - Thursday 26 September
The venue for our annual Wairarapa meeting/luncheon changed. It was held at 12 Noon at Masterton Club, Chapel Street, Masterton. We hold this luncheon a few weeks after the annual GSA Council meeting in the hope that those GSA members living in the Wairarapa find it a worthwhile occasion to be kept informed on GSA matters discussed at Council. $10 per person. Christmas Function - Tuesday 26 November
