Membership

Membership of the Government Superannuitants Association is open to: 

  1. those receiving an annuity from the Government Superannuation Fund GSF;
  2. those receiving an annuity from the National Provident Fund NPF who were employees of the health service at the time of retirement;
  3. the spouse or partner of an annuitant member;
  4. any member of the GSF over age 50, whether or not they are still contributing; and
  5. the spouse or partner of a pre-annuitant member.

Subscription

The subscription is deducted from your annuity every four weeks: $1.80 for annuitant and spouse, or $1.20 for the annuitant only, or $0.60 for a surviving spouse.

Members on joining receive an information handbook and a personal data book, and receive the Association Newsletter and their branch newsletter every six months. Members can attend branch gatherings to obtain information and to meet other members. The branch can also assist with queries from individuals about their annuities.

Those receiving an annuity are invited to print out and complete the Application form for Annuitants on this website and mail FreePost. This form provides for you to authorise a deduction from your annuity each payday for the Association subscription.

Application form for pre-annuitants

Those eligible to receive an annuity but have yet to take up that option, or are still contributing, are invited to print out and complete the Application form for Contributors.
