GSA Centennial 2020
A book was published to coincide with the centennial. Written by Prof. Roger Openshaw and called 'Safeguarding Super', it outlines the history of the GSA over the last 100 years and it can be ordered through the branch or you can order direct with National Office, phone 04 4727006, $40 per book plus postage. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Christmas function on 23 November.
Christmas Luncheon 2021
- Venue: The Foundry Restaurant,181 North Rd, (Corner of Gimblett St & North Rd) Invercargill
- Date: Monday 29 November
- Speaker: Tony Hamilton, GSA National President
- Cost: $25 per member. Pay on arrival to Anne or direct debit payment to the bank account GSA NZ Inc 031355 0880099 00.
- The branch has subsidised the meal.
- Time: Arrive from 12.00pm onwards for 12.30pm start
- Register to attend: To Anne by 15 November by phone or text to 027 311 0625 / email to southland@gsa.org.nz / or post to 4 Lennox Street, Gore 9710. Registered members who for some reason cannot attend on the day, will be asked to pay the branch as we are committed to pay for numbers confirmed prior to the luncheon.
- Dietary requirements: Let Anne know when you register of your choice of main and dessert and any special requirements as she needs to let the restaurant know prior to the day of the luncheon.
- Menu Choice: Main – 1. New Orleans Fried Chicken 2. Crumbed Blue Cod Dessert - 3. Apple and Boysenberry Crumble 4. Banoffee Pie Cheesecake
- Car parking: Available off Gimblett St, with wheelchair access.
- Require transport: Let Anne know if you require transport.
